Lord Have Mercy. Know about him. He used to be in Flipmode Squad, and had an album called "The Ungodly Hour" that was supposed to come out, but never did. I'm thinking it may have been released in some capacity ( Europe maybe?). If anyone comes across a copy, let me know. He's been doing stuff recently, releasing a pretty hard to find album called "Runaway Slave."

 

Lord Have Mercy is probably one of the most underappreciated MC's ever. He's ripped just about everything I've heard him on. The first time I remember hearing him was on Busta Rhymes' first album "The Coming." On it there was a song called "Flipmode Squad Meets Def Squad" which is one of the illest posse cuts of the early 90's. It features Jamal, Keith Murray, and Redman (Def Squad) who begin the song with crazy long verses (especially Jamal), then after a brief break, Rampage, Lord Have Mercy and Busta get to it. The song is like 8 minutes long, but its dope all the way around. One of the best Redman verses ever. And Keith Murray kills it with the oddball random ...
